Why we want your data? What are we going to use it for?

BSH would like to obtain information for the purposes of maintaining contact. It will only be used to inform you of any group activities or events.

Who will see your data?

Your personal information will not be shared with any third party. The only persons within BSH who may have access to your data will be committee members who are fully trained in the new data protection regulations (GDPR).

Where will your information be stored, and how long will it be kept?

Your data will be stored securely in a GDPR-compliant database and accessed only by approved individuals.  New data protection regulations (GDPR) came into force on May 25th 2018 so we will re-request your consent to store this information by this date annually. If we do not gain consent to keep your information, it will be destroyed.

Can I have access to my data?

You have a legal right to access any personal information BSH has stored about you. To obtain this information, you would need to contact Donna Price (Data Protection Officer) in writing and you will receive this information within 10 working days. What do I do if I have a query or complaint regarding data protection?

If you have any queries or complaints regarding how your personal data is handled, please bring these concerns to a committee member ASAP. Alternatively, if you have any complaints, you can make these known to the Information Commissioner (the person responsible for data protection regulations) on the following number 0303 123 1113.

Cookies

If you visit our login page, we will set a temporary cookie to determine if your browser accepts cookies. This cookie contains no personal data and is discarded when you close your browser.

When you log in, we will also set up several cookies to save your login information and your screen display choices. Login cookies last for two days, and screen options cookies last for a year. If you select “Remember Me”, your login will persist for two weeks. If you log out of your account, the login cookies will be removed.

If you edit or publish an article, an additional cookie will be saved in your browser. This cookie includes no personal data and simply indicates the post ID of the article you just edited. It expires after 1 day.
