A programme that combines dynamic group sessions with the opportunity for individualised support where required. Designed for parent carers of children aged 4 to 9 years for whom a formal diagnosis of autism is necessary.

During sessions, participants develop a better understanding of autism, empowering and informing parent carers to make a difference in their child’s life by providing evidence-based strategies.

We offer a 8-week programme and sessions will last approximately 2.5 hours.

Programmes are run for up to eight families at a time. Each family is allocated three, two for parent carers and one for an accompanying professional.

Early Bird Plus, the following topics are covered:

  • Understanding autism
  • Understanding and supporting sensory differences
  • Communication
  • Supporting and developing interaction
  • Socialisation and self-awareness
  • Understanding and interpreting behaviour
  • Supporting behaviour

All programme sessions will be delivered by fully trained facilitators.
